The Main Point Of Link Building

Oct 7, 2008 | Labels: , | |

The Web is built on links, and it is sure that a massive link building strategy is a must for any internet affiliate marketer and at all for any online business . Actually links that point back to your site do two things: they drive you targeted traffic and they locate your search engine rankings.

By placing your links on another site that is related to your content, you can bring visitors to your site who are interested in the aspect of content you offer. And Google, king of the search engines , places more value (and therefore greater rankings) on sites with multiple links pointing back to them.

I’m sure you’ve heard just about every fabrication imaginable regarding the right ways and the wrong way to generate links back to your site. Let’s forget about all the myths for now and look at the basics that apply to a good link building campaign.

The first obvious step is to identify placings that offer you targeted exposure. If you have a Website about auto repair tips, you need to find sites and directory categories pertaining to auto repair and place your links there.

So let’s focus on of the some types of sites you could get links from.

1.Free Directories

This almost goes without saying, but just to be safe I’ll include it. 500 or 1000 directories are a good place to submit your links. Given the benefits and most directories being free to submit to, it makes business sense to having your site listed in as many SEO friendly directories as possible. After all, you don’t lose anything for doing so. Download 'A to Z of Directory Submissions' -A free e-book about the basics and benefits of Directory Submissions. So far I am loving like easysubmits.com and dirgator.com .

2. Article Directories :

A fantastic way to have links back to your site is to write articles related to your site content and submit these to article directories and to social networking websites . At the end of each article you write you’ll include a resource box that provides links back to your Website. However, to become successful in article directories and social networking, your site must contain high quality content. This work is pretty hard, so you may submit URLs manually or use any social article submitter software – it’s up to you.

3.Forums

Discussion groups and forums gather a community of like-minded people having similar
interests.Join forums that are related to the theme of your site and get involved in the discussion
Some allow you to add your url in the content, however most will only allow a signature file.
This is what a signature file looks like which is similar to a classified ad. Do not join a forum and just post a blatant ad about your site, as this will get you ridiculed and possibly deleted; actually, often join in the conversations , and include a link to your website in your forum signature. Many message boards, blogs and other websites allow visitors using signatures too.

4.Blogs

You definitely need a blog of your own, but that’s a subject for other articles. In this piece about link building I want you to understand the power of simply posting comments on other people’s blogs.

Find 20 to 50 blogs that relate to your website, and bookmark them or subscribe to their feeds. Visit these blogs and post comments on some of the more interesting articles.

You see, when you fill out the comment form you will be asked for your name and website URL, so you can create a hyperlink with your name or business name that leads right back to your site. Be sure that your comments are legitimate contributions and not just some silly ad for your website.

As blogs are often updated regularly, and have many incoming links to them, your comments and therefore your link backs are likely to receive a lot of traffic from search engine spiders and real people. So blog comments are a simple but very powerful method for linking back to your site.

Put the contents of this article to use a few times each week. This is a totally easy, but definitely effective outline for starting a link building campaign that will bring you good standing with the search engines.

Avoid services that offer reciprocal linking between you and other Webmasters, as these programs are often viewed as link farms by Google and can get your site booted from the search engine rankings. Instead that you could tray to exchange links direct with webmasters .Research and find other quality websites with relevant content than contact there webmasters and offer them an exchange of links .

The here described link building campaign works very well for now ........ I learn them from the book " Affiliate Marketing vol.I " ......my be some of them will stay actual and some will go in the history of link building because the only thing constant in this world is the change.
